After Renato "Babalu" Sobral left the UFC because of a controversial fight against David Heath, he has returned to fight in the U.S. at the first Affliction show Banned.
Babalu showed a lot of respect in his post-fight interview against the man he beat, Mike Whitehead, at Affliction Banned and said he would like to train with him.
“I would like to train at Xtreme Couture and we almost trained together a couple times, but we just never did,” said Sobral. “And I think in the future we can train together.”
When asked about fighting Rogerio Nogueira stated he would fight Nogueira if they had to but he would like to fight someone else.
What Babalu is looking for is a bout with former UFC light heavyweight champion, Tito Ortiz.
“That’s my dream fight,” said Babalu in response to a possible fight with Ortiz.
A fight between the two seems very possible now that Ortiz is a free agent on the market.
