Former IFL lightweight fighter Chris Horodecki (12-1) has signed a three-fight deal with Affliction and is set to debut at Affliction's Oct. 11 show at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Aleksander Emelianenko (13-3) will not be part of the organization's second event.
Horodecki turned pro shortly after his 18th birthday and went 8-1 to become one of IFL's biggest stars. However, in the finals of the 2007 IFL Grand Prix, Horodecki was upset by Ryan Schultz, failing to become the first IFL lightweight champion.
Affliction Vice President Tom Atencio confirmed that Emelianenko will not be part of the Oct. 11 show, as previously planned.
At Affliction's inaugural event, Emelianenko was pulled from the fight card and Gary Goodridge was announced as a last minute replacement. According to the California State Athletic Commission Emelianenko failed to meet licensing requirements.
Atencio said Emelienenko still faces licensing problems, therefore the 27-year-old fighter will not be part of the Oct. 11 event.
