tito-ortiz-2.jpgTitor Ortiz has agreed to a contract with Affliction. A deal the 33-year-old former UFC light heavyweight champion calls "ground-breaking record contract."

Originally reported by si.com.

"I guarantee you that my contract will be like no other," said Ortiz, stopping short of giving away the specifics of a deal that could include responsibilities outside of the ring. "It will be a ground-breaking record contract for sure, without a doubt. There's so much money to be made right now in mixed martial arts and it's all about the fighters trying to make that money. It's going to be a long-term deal where I put my heart and soul into the company and help build them. That's something I'm interested in doing. They're going to bring me on, not just as a fighter but also doing some of the back work also."

This is great for the sport of MMA and greate for Tito. Let's just hope that by Affliction giving Tito a 'monster' contract they won't sink to bankcruptcy. Although possible, it isn't likely with the financial backing of Mr. Donald Trump.

Tito has many fans and will bring alot of money into the sport of MMA. I don't think that they will go bankrupt as long as Donald Trump is in the picture and alot of great fighters.

Why would they give a huge contract to a fighter that can't beat anybody anymore. Think of all the good fighters in his weight division then realize that Tito has been beat by all of them. I think that it is a waste of money.
